Adam T. Lipman, MD
Dr. Adam Lipman specializes in the medical, laser, and surgical treatment of conditions that affect the retina and vitreous.
Dr. Lipman is originally from Amherst, Massachusetts. He graduated cum laude as well as with departmental honors with a bachelor of science in behavioral neuroscience at Lehigh University. Here he excelled both academically and musically, earning a merit scholarship and performance competition recognition as a classically trained violinist.
Dr. Lipman received his medical degree from Drexel University, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed his internship at The Reading Hospital and Medical Center in West Reading, PA, where he received training at the ocular pathology department at Will's Eye, with Dr. Ralph Eagle. He then attended the University of Virginia where he completed his ophthalmology residency serving as chief resident. During his training at the University of Virginia he performed with the UVA Symphony Orchestra. He went on to complete his fellowship training in vitreoretinal surgery at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center outside of Boston, MA, where he was a clinical instructor for Tufts ophthalmology residents, and participated in research including several national multi-center clinical trials of investigational medications for macular degeneration.
Dr. Lipman is a board-certified ophthalmologist as well as a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the American Society of Retina Specialists. He has academic publications, and has presented at numerous meetings.
Dr. Lipman enjoys spending time with his friends and family, playing violin, sailing, golf, soccer, running, and biking.
